Supporting the merger of two heritage brands

Fox’s Burton’s Companies has always been crafting Britains most beloved biscuits for nearly 200 years.

As part of their merger and integration into the Ferrero group of brands, FBC needed a new website that could bring their story to life while still being highly practical and easy to use.

Although initial brand guidelines had been established, they were newly developed and not yet fully optimised for digital. We worked closely with the team to evolve and refine the brand’s visual identity, translating them into a digital-ready system that ensured strong accessibility and usability.

Usability was key, with the site serving as a directory for product information, ingredients and allergens. We carried out an in-depth discovery phase in order to bring clarity and structure to a complex product range, making the FBC family of brands intuitive and easy for users to navigate.

The site represented a consolidation of many individual brand portfolio websites. Detailed content audits, combined with analytics insights, informed a clear migration strategy helping us identify which legacy pages should be carried forward and which could be retired to streamline the experience.

The site was built in Drupal using a flexible, component-based system that empowers the brand teams to manage and update content independently. The templates were designed to support multiple product brands, allowing for light customisation where needed while maintaining a consistent and coherent experience for users. Hosted on Ferrero’s infrastructure, the platform was developed with compliance, accessibility, and security at its core.

The result is a vibrant, product-led website that delivers clear product and nutritional information to consumers seamlessly across all devices. Our ongoing partnership with FBC ensures the site continues to evolve, staying optimised and aligned with their wider organisational goals.
